Peter Knoth is President and Supervisor of
Investigations for Cover 2 Investigations, Inc. Stephen DiLorenzo is the
CEO and Director of Human Resources for their Company. Combined they
account for over 50 years of investigative experience in Civil,
Criminal, Background Checks, Domestic Cases, and much more as outlined on
our Services Page. Following is a little information about our background.
Mr. Knoth had a stellar 20 year career in the NYPD, retiring in
2001. After retirement he was employed for 5 years by the Queens District
Attorneys' Office as a Senior Investigator in their Trials Division. While
in the NYPD Mr. Knoth accumulated over 30 Commendations and Unit Citations
acknowledging his excellent skills. He was promoted to Detective in 1989
and to Sergeant in 1991. While a Detective, and then a Sergeant, Mr. Knoth
was assigned to the Organized Crime Control Bureau handling all types of
investigations specializing in, but not limited to, cases involving
Homicides, Money Laundering, Surveillances, and the debriefing and
utilization of Confidential Informants. These are just a few areas of his
expertise. Also, while a Sergeant in OCCB, he supervised a team comprised
of over a dozen Detective Investigators and Undercover Officers resulting in
the successful completions of hundreds of investigative cases resulting in
over a thousand arrests. In court cases, requiring testimony, Mr. Knoth has
been deemed an expert witness by the Court testifying in countless Criminal
and Civil cases. He brought all this experience to the Queens District
Attorneys' Office, retiring in 2006, and subsequently starting Cover 2

Stephen DiLorenzo brings a plethora of experience to the
Private Investigations field. He has been President and CEO of a Technical
Services Company specializing in, but not limited to, Computer Fraud,
Background Investigations, Domestic and Infidelity Cases. These are just a
few of his expertise areas. Stephen is one of the best in the field of
Computer Forensics and has countless contacts throughout this field. He is
an expert in devising an Investigative Plan for clients in need of any legal
